Egypt-Yemen Flights Resume After 8-Day Hiatus

Flights were suspended on Nov. 6 following a missile fired from Yemen targeted Saudi capital.

Flights between Egyptian capital Cairo and Yemen's port city of Aden resumed after an 8-day hiatus, according to an official of Yemen's national flag carrier on Tuesday.



Yemenia Airlines Chief Saleh Ba Hedile said in a statement at Cairo Airport that the flights resumed following the Saudi-led coalition lifted restriction on air travel to Yemen.



Hedile noted the first flight carrying 218 passengers took off today.



The Saudi-led coalition fighting in Yemen announced a suspension of border crossing via air, marine and land routes following a ballistic missile fired from Yemen targeting Saudi capital Riyadh on Nov. 6. -
