Speaking after the Cabinet meeting, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced that the Eid al-Adha holiday has been extended to 9 days. President Erdogan stated, 'We have decided to add 1.5 days to the official holidays of our public employees starting on May 26 for Eid al-Adha. By including this 1.5 days before the holiday as administrative leave, a total of 9 days of holiday is made possible.'

EID AL-ADHA HOLIDAY EXTENDED TO 9 DAYS
Giving good news to public employees, President Erdogan announced that the Eid al-Adha holiday has been extended to 9 days. Thus, Monday, May 25, and Tuesday, May 26, have also been declared administrative leave. The Eid al-Adha holiday will begin on May 23 and end on May 31.
"I WISH IT TO BE AUSPICIOUS"
The relevant part of President Erdogan's statements on the matter is as follows: "We will observe Eid al-Adha between May 27-30. We have decided that our public employees will have an additional 1.5 days added to their official holiday on Tuesday, May 26. By including 1.5 days before the holiday, with Monday full day and Tuesday until noon, as administrative leave, we are providing a total of 9 days of holiday. I wish it to be auspicious."
