In the İnegöl district of Bursa, Mehmet Daşdemir (60), the owner of an ironworking shop, fell into the shaft of a freight elevator, was seriously injured, and died in the hospital where he was taken. The gendarmerie has launched an investigation into the incident.
In a workplace accident in an iron forging shop operating in the İnegöl district of Bursa, the business owner died after falling into an elevator shaft. The incident occurred around 10:00 AM at a metal forging facility in the rural Yeniceköy Mahallesi Organized Industrial Zone of İnegöl. According to the information obtained, business owner Mehmet Daşdemir (60) headed towards the freight elevator located on the second floor of his workplace. Unable to notice that the elevator was on the third floor, Daşdemir fell approximately 8 meters into the elevator shaft.
FOUND BLEEDING IN THE ELEVATOR SHAFT
A search operation was initiated at the workplace after his relatives could not reach him for a while. After about an hour of searching, Daşdemir was found covered in blood in the elevator shaft. Upon notification, health teams were dispatched to the scene. Seriously injured Mehmet Daşdemir was taken by ambulance to İnegöl State Hospital.
INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED INTO THE INCIDENT
However, the unfortunate man could not be saved despite all the doctors' interventions. Daşdemir's body was sent to the Forensic Medicine Institute to determine the exact cause of death after the prosecutor's investigation.
Gendarmerie teams have launched an investigation into the incident.
