The referee Elif Karaarslan, who has been in the spotlight due to allegations of sexual relationship videos involving observer Orhan Erdemir, affiliated with the Turkish Football Federation, has received a lifetime ban from the TFF.

"I WAS EARNING 200 TL"

After the events, Karaarslan, who became a topic of discussion, revealed the amount she earned from a match on social media. Stating that she received 200 TL per 90 minutes, Elif Karaarslan said, "Many people have asked about refereeing. Friends, in a situation where you receive 200 TL as a match fee, can this be your profession?? It can only be a hobby you do to unwind on weekends, and with that fee, you can buy half a kilo of cheese for your home, of course, if you have any money left after deducting travel expenses. I did this hobby with honor and integrity for 4 years in the federation. I was never late for any match, I never made a mistake that would change the fate of any match, I was successful in promotion conditions, I passed all the exams, despite all the attempts against me. My head is held high," she said.

While the images of former referee Orhan Erdemir engaging in sexual relations with a woman were circulated, it was claimed that the woman in that video was referee Elif Karaarslan. Karaarslan, who claimed that the video was a product of artificial intelligence, stated that the person in the video was not her and announced that her lawyers would initiate legal proceedings regarding these allegations.
