The bulk carrier vessel 'M/V New Victory', flying the flag of Belize, which was attacked by 5 Ukrainian UAVs while proceeding towards Russia's Taman Port in the Black Sea, is being taken to a shipyard via the Bosphorus Strait after sustaining severe damage. During the operation, vessel traffic in the Strait was temporarily suspended in both directions.
A rescue operation has been launched for the bulk carrier named "M/V New Victory" flying the Belize flag, which was attacked by 5 Ukrainian UAVs while proceeding on its designated route towards Russia's Taman Port in the Black Sea.
ATTACKED BY UAVS IN THE BLACK SEA
As a result of the attack that took place on the night of July 24, the ship's bridge (captain's deck) was heavily damaged, and the injured ship captain was taken under medical treatment. The ship, measuring 169.51 meters in length and 25.5 meters in width, whose engine was also rendered inoperable in the attack, is being escorted through the Bosphorus today at 14:00 with the KEGM Kurtarma 9, Kurtarma 12, and Nazım Tur tugboats to be taken to the nearest shipyard.

Due to the operation, ship traffic in the Bosphorus has been temporarily suspended in both directions.
