The 93-year-old factory belonging to Ahmet Kula, one of the former presidents of the Balıkesir Chamber of Commerce, has been put up for auction. The factory, located on the Balıkesir-İzmir highway, has a determined auction price of 196 million TL.
The sale of the factory, which is built on a 26,000 square meter plot of land and belongs to Kula Food Plants, will take place on February 4, 2025. Kula Food Plants declared bankruptcy in 2019 after failing to overcome its financial crisis by applying to the court for concordat.
The factory, whose foundation was laid in 1932, was represented by the second generation, Ahmet Kula, who served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Balıkesir Chamber of Commerce and worked for years for the development of Balıkesir. Kula Food Plants was also listed among Turkey's top 500 industrial enterprises announced annually by ISO.
