The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) announced that Eren Elmalı, who was referred to the Disciplinary Committee (PFDK) as part of the betting investigation, has been removed from the national team.



A National Football Team's warm development occurred before the matches against Bulgaria and Spain in the World Cup Qualifiers.

The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) announced that Eren Elmalı, who was found to have placed bets and referred to the disciplinary committee, has been removed from the A National Football Team's candidate squad.



TFF announced that changes were made to the candidate squads of the A National Team, U21, and U19 National Teams. In a written statement made on the official website of TFF, it was stated, "As part of the betting investigation conducted by the Turkish Football Federation regarding professional leagues, 1024 football players who were found to have placed bets have been referred to the PFDK by the TFF Legal Consultancy with precautionary measures in accordance with Article 57 of the Football Disciplinary Regulation. Consequently, changes were made to the candidate squads of our A, U21, and U19 National Teams. Accordingly, Eren Elmalı was removed from the A National Team, İzzet Çelik from the U21 National Team, and Ege Albayrak from the U19 National Team's candidate squads."
