Fenerbahçe Manager Ertan Torunoğulları reacted to criticisms about his accent by harshly targeting İbrahim Seten and said, "Don't use my name as material for rating cheapness."
Fenerbahçe Executive Ertan Torunoğulları responded harshly to journalist İbrahim Seten's statements. Torunoğulları's remarks caused a wide stir in the public.
“WORDS ABOUT MY ACCENT DID NOT SURPRISE ME”
Torunoğulları reacted to Seten's comments about him, stating that criticisms about his accent did not surprise him. The yellow-navy executive emphasized that he is proud of his Kars identity and expressed that this is a value for him.
“I DID NOT COMPROMISE MY IDENTITY”
Torunoğulları, stating that he has lived in Europe for 35 years and achieved significant success in business, said that he never compromised his identity during this process. He emphasized that he exists with his own values instead of trying to be like others.

Expressing that taking a role at Fenerbahçe is a great pride for him, Torunoğulları said he does his best to contribute to the club both financially and morally.
“CANNOT BE EVALUATED WITH ARTIFICIAL COMMENTS”
Arguing that criticisms directed at him are far from reality, Torunoğulları stated that evaluating a big club like Fenerbahçe with such comments is unacceptable.

At the end of his statement, directly addressing İbrahim Seten, Torunoğulları requested that his name not be used as material for "rating opportunism."

"My response to Mr. İbrahim Seten,
What someone who has been familiar to the Fenerbahçe community since the July 3rd process, who thinks of himself as a Baron due to flattery from his surroundings, said about my accent did not surprise me.
To Mr. İbrahim, who is so unaware of the differences in his country, I would like to remind him that I take pride in being from Kars, speaking with a Kars accent, living in Europe for 35 years, achieving significant successes in my field without envying others or abandoning my roots.
Until today, I have been careful not to compromise my identity to please clowns, and it does not surprise me that those who are lacking in this regard think they have made an important assessment with artificial evaluations.
I have had the honor of serving Fenerbahçe, one of the most important parts of my life, with the favor of the congress and the appreciation of Mr. Sadettin Saran. From the first day, I have done my best both materially and morally. I hope that the management criteria of my beloved Fenerbahçe have not diminished to the point of being evaluated by someone of Mr. Seten's ilk, and if he has no other artificial analysis about me, I request that he no longer use my name as material for rating opportunism."
