TURKISH CITIZENS AT THE TOP
Turkish citizens actually removed from the EU were followed by citizens of Georgia, Syria, Albania, and Russia. In the same year, a total of 491,950 third-country nationals were issued a decision to leave the EU in EU countries. By citizenship, Algeria ranked first with 45,735 people, followed by citizens of Morocco, Turkey, and Syria.
This table showed that Algerian citizens were the group with the most "exit orders" issued, but in actual deportation practices, Turks clearly stood out. It is stated that this difference stems from bureaucratic speed and established system differences in relations with the two countries.
In the distribution of decisions to leave by country, France ranked first with 137,550 people. The same decision was made for 55,240 people in Germany and 53,700 people in Spain. Of those issued exit orders during the year, 135,460 were actually sent outside the EU. According to the data, it is stated that the EU's deportation policies were among the most intense years in 2025 in terms of both administrative decisions and implemented deportation procedures.
