During the eviction of a property reportedly expropriated in Kütahya, tense moments occurred between police and municipal teams and the homeowners. The eviction process at the detached house in Bölücek Mahallesi continued after lengthy persuasion efforts by the teams.
TENSION DURING EVICTION
According to information obtained, police and municipal teams arrived at the address to enforce a previously issued eviction order for the detached house on Bülent Erkılavuz Street in Bölücek Mahallesi. A brief tension arose when 84-year-old Mürvet Demiş and her son Ali Galip Demiş, who were in the house, resisted the teams during the eviction, which was initiated under extensive security measures.
After the teams' prolonged persuasion efforts, the eviction process continued in a controlled manner. Security measures in the area were increased against potential adversities, while nearby citizens observed the events.
MUNICIPALITY: EXPROPRIATION COMPLETED
According to information from municipal lawyers, it was stated that an eviction order for the said property was issued in 2023, the expropriation process was completed, and the rights holders were given their legal rights with the land value paid.
Municipal sources also claimed that the area where the house is located was designated as a road in the zoning plan, and despite the completion of expropriation procedures, the planned road project could not be realized until now due to the inability to carry out the eviction.
