ATTACKED WHILE WORKING IN THE FIELD
The incident occurred in a village near the Narharpur forest area in the Kanker district of Chhattisgarh state. According to information obtained, a brother and sister who were attacked by a frenzied bear while working in the field tragically lost their lives at the scene. Another person who tried to rush to help during the attack was seriously injured.
DID NOT LEAVE THE BODIES
After the incident, the bear's continued presence near the bodies of the deceased siblings and its refusal to leave the area hampered rescue teams' intervention. The footage recorded from a distance by nearby citizens on their mobile phones quickly spread on social media, causing a huge stir.
PANIC PREVAILS IN THE REGION
Following the attack, a great atmosphere of fear and panic prevailed in the area, while authorities warned villagers not to go outside as a precautionary measure. Forest Regional Directorate teams launched a large-scale operation in the region to neutralize the wild animal and ensure safety.
