A blast at a fireworks store in Hubei province, China, resulted in the deaths of 12 people. An investigation has been launched following the incident.

It was reported that an explosion occurred yesterday at a fireworks store in Zhengji town, Xiangyang city, Hubei province, China. Authorities stated that the explosion affected an area of approximately 50 square meters and announced that 12 people lost their lives.

THE CAUSE OF THE EXPLOSION IS UNDER INVESTIGATION

At a press conference held today by the Xiangyang Municipality, it was stated that the explosion occurred yesterday at 14:24 and that one of the victims was the store owner, while 11 were customers. It was expressed that the investigation into the cause of the explosion is ongoing, and support and assistance efforts for the families of the deceased have been initiated.
