A video recorded during the liberation day events of Tercan district in Erzincan sparked a debate on social media. Following the shares regarding the moments when District Governor Neslihan Kısa Duman had a police officer carry an umbrella in the rain, Duman made a written statement.
"I UNDERSTAND THE SENSITIVITY" MESSAGE
Stating that the footage only represents a segment of the program, Duman expressed that he understands the sensitivity that has arisen in the public. He conveyed that he took the umbrella himself as soon as he realized the situation, emphasizing that he takes responsibility for the impression created.
In his statement, Governor Duman included the following remarks: "I understand the sensitivity arising from the image of a rainy moment. Although the shared video pertains to a segment of the program, I take responsibility for the impression created by the footage, even though I took the umbrella myself as soon as I noticed the situation. I would like to express my regret for having occupied the public's attention. Sincerely."
