6 STUDENTS INJURED, 2 IN SERIOUS CONDITION
As a result of the explosion, 6 students in the classroom were injured. The injured students were taken to the Burn Treatment Center of Kartal Lütfi Kırdar City Hospital. It was reported that the condition of 2 students who were admitted to intensive care remains serious.
ALCOHOL BOTTLE SLIPPED FROM TEACHER'S HAND DURING THE EXPERIMENT
The father of Ömer Asaf Taşdöken, who is undergoing treatment in intensive care, Serdar Taşdöken, said, "The school principal called us at 11:00 AM. He said there was a fire in the laboratory and that they brought the children to the hospital. The science teacher was conducting an experiment. In that experiment, he was using a spirit lamp and alcohol. During the experiment, the alcohol bottle slipped from the teacher's hand and flames erupted. My son Ömer Asaf was in the front, so the flames burned his clothes, and he has third-degree burns on his body. 25% of his body is burned. He has been in intensive care since yesterday."

Cemil Güzel, a parent of a student in the same class, stated, "An explosion occurred in the laboratory while the experiment was being conducted. Our children are injured; we went through a major incident. There were no precautions in the experiment room. There was no fire extinguisher, no equipment to intervene in a fire. The teachers extinguished the flames with curtains. They take a fortune from us but have not taken any measures regarding the safety of our children.
How is this school given a license? As parents, we are complaining. Our children could have died there. The level of danger is very high. They are trying to cover up this incident. We will not let this matter go. My children's psychology has been affected. They have been crying since yesterday. 'I close my eyes and my friend's injuries come to my mind,' they say. We want the state to intervene in this matter," he expressed.
