An investigation has been launched against Abdullah Aksoy, a member of the Burdur Provincial General Assembly of the MHP, who made headlines with images of him reciting a funeral prayer at an alcohol table. MHP Deputy Chairman Sadi Durmaz announced that Aksoy will be expelled from the party.

AN INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN INITIATED
While the images sparked a significant reaction on social media, it was learned that the Burdur Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has initiated an investigation regarding the matter. Ç.T. (the person reciting the prayer in the video), who was taken to the police station, was released after giving his statement.
HE WAS EXPELLED FROM MHP
Following the controversial images, MHP Deputy Chairman Sadir Durmaz announced that Abdullah Aksoy, who serves as a member of the Provincial General Assembly in Gölhisar district of Burdur, has been expelled from the party.
Journalist Sinan Burhan stated that he spoke with MHP Deputy Chairman Sadi Durmaz, saying, "The council member who recited a prayer at the alcohol table has been expelled... I spoke with MHP Deputy Chairman Sadi Durmaz. He said that they have initiated an investigation against Abdullah Aksoy, the MHP Provincial General Assembly member from Burdur, and that they will expel him. MHP's stance on such matters is extremely clear. I congratulate them."
