Tanyeli, who lost his battle with pancreatic cancer after 2.5 years, was bid farewell on his final journey. Many friends and fans from the art world attended the funeral ceremony. Tanyeli's wife, İlker Sünneli, who found it difficult to speak, expressed her grief with the words, "I am still fighting. I still have my armor on. We were continuing. I talk to him, asking why he left me, but..." which touched many hearts.
In 2023, the famous oriental dancer Tanyeli, who learned that she had pancreatic cancer during her hospital visit due to complaints of abdominal pain, passed away on March 17 after a 2.5-year battle against the disease. Tanyeli's coffin was brought to Zincirlikuyu Mosque on the shoulders of her husband and son. Yonca Evcimik, Nuri Alço, Safiye Soyman, Pınar Eliçe, Melek Baykal, Deniz Seki, Ayşe Yıldız, Ayşegül Yıldız, Armağan Çağlayan, Zara, Gülben Ergen, Ömür Gedik, Selen Görgüzel, her relatives, and loved ones attended the funeral ceremony.
"WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME?"
Tanyeli's husband İlker Sünneli and their sons Taylan and Teo could not hold back their tears at the funeral. İlker Sünneli said, "From the beginning, our struggle was very great. She really fought a tremendous superhuman battle. I have nothing to say. I am still fighting. I still have my armor on, but unfortunately, she is not here. We were continuing. I talk about why you left me, but... May we all be strong. She was a wonderful person. She was a very good mother and a very good wife."

Tanyeli's child Taylan stated, "Our pain is great. She set an example for everyone with her fighting spirit. She had many loved ones. I hope my mother's struggle will be a strength for others. May we all be strong."
TAKEN TO BODRUM AS PER HER WISH
After the funeral prayer, Tanyeli's body was sent on her final journey to Bodrum for burial. In her will, Tanyeli had expressed her wish to be buried next to her mother, who is buried in the Bodrum district of Muğla.
