- Fatih Erbakan, Chairman of the New Welfare Party, criticized President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for bowing to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, saying, "Our citizens who have been victimized in the stock market and the fund have been waiting for more than a month for Mr. President to do what is necessary regarding the politicians whose names are involved in the scandal, but there is no response. However, when Ilham Aliyev makes a phone call, everything comes to a standstill." CRITICISM OVER THE HEADSCARF AND FUND VICTIMS
In a statement on his social media account, New Welfare Party Chairman Fatih Erbakan made criticisms directed at President Erdoğan over the headscarf ban in Azerbaijan and the fund fraud. Erbakan noted the following:
"I don't know what to mourn. Should we mourn our President, who says 'The world is bigger than five' and is believed to be a world leader, bowing to Ilham Aliyev? Or the government, which for years ran from victory to victory with the votes it received over the headscarf, a matter among the fundamental provisions of Islam, leaving the headscarf issue abandoned? Or that the cries of millions of fund victims do not amount to one Ilham Aliyev? Indeed, our citizens who have been victimized in the stock market and the fund have been waiting for more than a month for Mr. President to do what is necessary regarding the politicians whose names are involved in the scandal, but there is no response. However, when Ilham Aliyev makes a phone call, everything comes to a standstill. The headscarf, human rights, freedom of belief make no difference at all. Aliyev says it, and we do it instantly; this is the picture that appears. Do you have the right to make the nation experience this shame?

Even if we say the parties are taking mutual steps and easing tensions, that is not the case either.
