Trabzonspor's head coach Fatih Tekke spoke to the 228th issue of the club magazine. Stating that Turkish football has been unfair to him, Fatih Tekke said, "Turkish football has done me a lot of injustice, not a little. But do I have any claims? No! Those who know me well know that I have forgiven everyone. It's not a problem at all."

Trabzonspor's head coach Fatih Tekke made statements in the 228th issue of the club magazine.

The young coach stated that he was treated very unfairly during his time playing football in Turkey, but he has forgiven everyone, saying, "Turkish football did not do me a little, it did me a lot of injustice. But do I have a claim? No! Those who know me very well know that I have forgiven everyone. It's not a problem at all. Yes, there is this perfectionism in everything in my life, but of course, it is not very suitable for the realism of football. Up to a certain age, yes, but after a certain age in life, it is not very appropriate. It was like that when I was young, perfectionist, the best, the bravest, the strongest. But now, we are at an age where we are trying to understand our surroundings more accurately. Therefore, those around me say the same, perfectionist, but I am trying not to be like that anymore," he said.

'I WOULD HAVE GUIDED PLAYER FATİH TEKKE WELL'

Tekke emphasized that there are significant differences between the football of his playing days and today's football, stating that the system prevented many talented players like himself from developing. He expressed his views on what it would have been like if he had been the head coach during his playing days: "I apologize to everyone, but I think he could have been one of the best players in the world. Of course, I worked with very valuable people. But there are significant differences between the way football is played today and the way we played in our time. In our time, more often, although many teams in Turkey still do, player performance was what carried things forward. But we can define the elite leagues of the world as a planned team game and an organization that highlights the player's strongest aspects. Unfortunately, this is still not present in Turkey. In our time, there were not only me but also many very talented players. Yes, they ended their careers at a very low level in the world scale. Maybe we made mistakes too. But the system prevented development. I was angry but I was young. I remember from the age of 17. I did not disrespect people; I do not remember intentionally hurting anyone. The sociological structure of the city, the values of that day, the understanding of the game of that day, the coaches of that day. Not only me but many talented names of the era ended their football careers with a career far below what it should have been. In other words, I could have guided player Fatih Tekke well into becoming one of the important players in the world."

'TURKISH FOOTBALL DID A LOT OF INJUSTICE TO ME'

The young coach stated that he was treated very unfairly during his time playing football in Turkey, but he has forgiven everyone. Tekke said, "Turkish football did not do me a little, it did me a lot of injustice. But do I have a claim? No! Those who know me very well know that I have forgiven everyone. It's not a problem at all," he said. Tekke added:

"Of course, I had my shortcomings, but they did me a lot of injustice. Call it Turkish football, call it the system, call it someone! Maybe it's also related to my perspective on life; for example, I can see even the smallest lie as a very big injustice. When you look at the current structure of society, even now, there are moments in places I go where I feel I have been treated unfairly, but I have gotten used to it, to be honest. It is not a problem for me. I experienced the same thing during my playing days in the environment I described, and I am experiencing the same now in my coaching career. By working, striving, let's say scratching a bit, I am trying to get out of there. There are certainly moments related to my playing career that can be criticized, but at least I think I have been on the right path so far in terms of coaching. Turkish football did not do me a little, it did me a lot of injustice. But do I have a claim? No! Those who know me very well know that I have forgiven everyone. It's not a problem at all."
