He shared the sadness of closing one of the most important chapters of his football career and the excitement for the new phase ahead.
In his farewell message, Melo stated, "Today I am closing one of the most important chapters of my life: my playing career. It has been incredible years, filled with many struggles and successes, but more importantly, they were the years in which I saw God's purpose fulfilled with every step I took. Everything I experienced, every moment, was guided by His hand, and I am forever grateful for the privilege of doing what I love. I have always drawn my strength from God's faith, love, and mercy. He was with me in the toughest moments, lifted me up, and reminded me to be thankful in moments of victory. I thank all the clubs I had the honor to play for, the fans who fueled my journey, my teammates, everyone who left their mark on this journey, and my family who always believed in me. But above all, I thank God for giving me the gift, courage, and opportunity to experience all of this. Now I confidently move on to the next chapter, knowing that He will continue to guide me. I thank everyone who is a part of this story. Thank you, Jesus, for being unique and sufficient in my life. Never stop dreaming big, prophesying with faith, and taking action, because He makes it happen!"
