FIFA OPENS THE COFFERS
FIFA distributed a total of $209 million to clubs during the 2022 World Cup. It has been announced that this amount has been increased to $355 million for the 2026 World Cup.
Including the pre-tournament camp period, clubs will earn approximately $11,000 per day for each player at the World Cup.
GALATASARAY WILL EARN $121,000 PER DAY
According to a report by Milliyet, Galatasaray, which has 11 players in World Cup squads, will receive approximately $121,000 per day.
If the yellow-reds' players advance in the tournament, their revenue will multiply. However, since Noa Lang's loan contract expires on June 30, the Dutch star's entitlements after this date will be transferred to Napoli.
THE FIGURE FOR FENERBAHÇE COULD BE EVEN HIGHER
For Fenerbahçe, the revenue from the World Cup process is expected to be even higher. It is stated that the number of players competing in the World Cup for the yellow-navy blues could rise to 12 after June 30. In this case, the club's daily earnings will reach approximately $132,000.
LOAN PLAYER DETAIL
The report noted that if loaned players İrfan Can Kahveci, Sofyan Amrabat, and Dominik Livakovic continue their World Cup journey, FIFA payments for these players will also be transferred to Fenerbahçe from July 1 onwards. Meanwhile, it was stated that Mexican star Edson Alvarez will be removed from the list, but the club will not suffer a significant loss in revenue.
MILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN REVENUE
Every advancing day at the World Cup means new revenue for the clubs. Therefore, Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe will closely follow the tournament both for sporting success and economic gain.
