Fenerbahçe, aiming for the championship in the Trendyol Super League, has made its first transfer of the mid-season transfer period. The yellow-navy team announced that an agreement has been reached with Diego Carlos and Aston Villa.

FENERBAHÇE'S STATEMENT

Fenerbahçe's statement is as follows;

"Our club has reached a principle agreement with both the club and the player for the transfer of Diego Carlos, who plays for Aston Villa. The Brazilian player has been invited to Istanbul to proceed with medical checks and transfer negotiations."

ARRIVAL TIME IN ISTANBUL

Diego Carlos is expected to be in Istanbul for Fenerbahçe at 00:15 tonight (the night between Tuesday and Wednesday).

TRANSFER FEE TO BE PAID

The yellow-navy team will pay a transfer fee of around 11 million euros for Diego Carlos from Aston Villa. This amount will be paid in installments over 4 years.

SEASON PERFORMANCE

The 31-year-old experienced defender has played 17 matches and accumulated 1403 minutes this season at Aston Villa. The Brazilian defender was also not included in the squad for his team's match against Arsenal on Saturday.
