Fenerbahçe, continuing their efforts in striker transfers, has intensified negotiations with Napoli for Romelu Lukaku. Having agreed on personal terms with the Belgian striker, the yellow-navy club raised their offer to Napoli to 10 million euros, stating that this is their final figure.
Fenerbahce could not reach a conclusion in its negotiations with Benfica for Vangelis Pavlidis. As the Portuguese club did not make a significant reduction in its 70 million euro demand, the management turned to alternative names.
One of the prominent names on the list was Romelu Lukaku, who is expected to leave Napoli. The yellow-navy club quickly reached an agreement with the Belgian striker on personal terms.
NAPOLI ASKED FOR 12 MILLION EUROS
Fenerbahce initially offered 6 million euros to Napoli for Lukaku. The Italian club rejected this offer and demanded 12 million euros. The yellow-navy club then raised the figure to 9 million euros, but Napoli again did not step back.
FENERBAHCE PLAYED HARD: INFORM US OF YOUR DECISION
After the negotiations, Fenerbahce increased its final offer to 10 million euros. The management informed Napoli that this figure would not be increased and sent the message, "Inform us of your decision."
It was stated that Lukaku's annual cost of 10 million 250 thousand euros constitutes a significant burden for Napoli, and it was expressed that the Italian club wanted to sell the striker, who will enter the final year of his contract.
DETAILED HEALTH CHECK BEFORE THE TRANSFER
If Fenerbahce reaches an agreement with Napoli, it will not complete the transfer directly. The yellow-navy club will put Lukaku, who suffered three different injuries last season, through a comprehensive medical examination.
The Belgian striker stayed on the field for a total of 64 minutes in 7 official matches with the Napoli jersey last season. At the World Cup, Lukaku scored 3 goals in 6 matches with the Belgium jersey.
