Elif Özsoy, who celebrated her 100th birthday with her family in the Bolvadin district of Afyonkarahisar, passed away a week later due to age-related causes. Özsoy's son, Erol Özsoy, stated that his mother was an exemplary Republican woman with her sacrifice and hard work, and expressed their deep sorrow following the loss of his mother, who had 10 children, 7 daughters-in-law, and 25 grandchildren.

Elif Özsoy, who celebrated her 100th birthday on August 3 in Bolvadin by cutting the cake prepared by her family, passed away yesterday due to age-related causes. Özsoy's funeral was held after the prayer at Çarşı Mosque and she was laid to rest in the district cemetery.

Elif Özsoy's son, Erol Özsoy, said, "My mother was a true woman of the Republic. She was an exemplary person with her sacrifice, hard work, and devotion. She raised 10 children. She had 7 daughters-in-law and 25 grandchildren. We were overjoyed when we celebrated the 100th birthday of our family's great matriarch. We are very sad right now. We didn't expect it. She left us with great memories."
