Master artist Ferdi Tayfur passed away yesterday evening at the hospital where he was being treated in Antalya. The sad news of the master artist has plunged his fans and the art world into mourning. After Ferdi Tayfur's death, all eyes turned to his daughter Tuğçe Tayfur, with whom he had been estranged for a long time. Tuğçe Tayfur's close friend Murat Uçmaz shared the last images of Tuğçe on his social media account.

FUNERAL PROGRAM CHANGED

According to a statement made by Recep Ergül, the President of the Turkish Musicians' Rights Organization (MESAM), a funeral ceremony will be held for the master artist on January 4, Saturday, at the Atatürk Cultural Center. Tayfur's funeral will be held after the afternoon prayer at Levent Barbaros Hayrettin Paşa Mosque, and he will be laid to rest at Yeniköy Cemetery. Tayfur's press advisor Şirin Gözalıcı made a statement regarding the funeral ceremony on social media. Gözalıcı stated, "Correction: Due to high attendance, the funeral prayer for Mr. Ferdi Tayfur will be held at Levent Barbaros Hayrettin Paşa Mosque after the memorial ceremony." In a previous statement, it was mentioned, "After the memorial ceremony for Mr. Ferdi Tayfur, which will be held on Saturday at 12:00 at the Atatürk Cultural Center, the funeral prayer will be held at Emirgan Çınaraltı Mosque, and he will be buried in the family cemetery in Yeniköy after the afternoon prayer."

HIS BODY WAS BROUGHT TO ISTANBUL

The funeral of the famous artist, who saddened his fans with the news of his death, was brought from Antalya to Istanbul by plane. The body of Ferdi Tayfur, taken by officials from the plane, was taken to the cargo terminal. After the procedures at the airport, Tayfur's body was received by his relatives.

CAUSE OF DEATH REVEALED

It was reported that 79-year-old artist Ferdi Tayfur, who was being treated at a hospital in Antalya, passed away due to liver and kidney failure. A written statement was made by the Chief Physician of Medical Park Antalya Hospital Complex regarding the artist's death.

The statement indicated that the artist was brought to the hospital by military plane on December 16 and underwent surgery for sinus cleaning due to a previously developed fungal infection. It was noted, "After the surgery, the health condition of our artist was improving, but unfortunately, he was admitted to intensive care due to rapidly progressing liver and kidney failure around noon yesterday. Despite ongoing intensive treatment and all efforts of his doctors, our artist passed away at 19:38. As Medical Park Hospitals, we deeply regret to inform his fans that the beloved artist of Turkish music, Mr. Ferdi Tayfur, has left us due to liver and kidney failure."
