The master of Arabesque music, Ferdi Tayfur, passed away on the evening of January 2 at the age of 79 in the hospital where he was being treated in Antalya. Tayfur's death has plunged his fans and the art world into mourning. THOUSANDS ATTENDED THE FUNERALFerdi Tayfur's funeral was taken from the Zincirlikuyu Funeral Home to the AKM. In addition to his family, the memorial ceremony held at the AKM was attended by Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Ekrem İmamoğlu, Orhan Gencebay, İbrahim Tatlıses, Fatih-Şebnem Kısaparmak, Yavuz Bingöl, and thousands of others. During the ceremony, thousands sang the artist's song 'İçim Yanar'. SON FAINTED AT THE FUNERALAfter the ceremony, at the funeral service of Tayfur held at the Barbaros Hayrettin Paşa Mosque in Levent, his son Timur Turanbayburt fainted. Turanbayburt was taken to the ambulance with the intervention of health teams. HIS SON, WHO SAW HIS FACE AFTER 13 YEARS, CAME TO HIS AIDIn 2020, the master artist's kidneys had failed. At the moment when hopes were exhausted, help came from his son Timur, who saw his father's face for the first time after 13 years. Timur Turanbayburt had donated one of his kidneys to his father.
