Approximately 50,000 people have lost their lives and more than 100,000 have been injured in the inhumane and illegal attacks carried out by Israel on the Gaza Strip from October 7, 2023, to January 13, 2025. In addition to thousands of Palestinians who have been held in prisons by Israel for years, 15,000 people from Gaza have also been arrested for various reasons.
15 PALESTINIANS WILL BE BROUGHT TO TURKEY
As part of the ceasefire agreement, there is a provision that a certain number of detainees and convicts will be released by Israel in exchange for the hostages who will be freed. It has been stipulated that some of the convicts who have been sentenced to life imprisonment by Israel will be removed from Palestine permanently after their release.
In line with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's instructions, Turkey, along with some other countries, will host some of these Palestinians who have been forced to live away from their countries after being released from prison to support the ceasefire agreement. In this regard, the National Intelligence Organization (MIT) has initiated efforts to enable 15 Palestinians, who have been removed from their countries, to come to Turkey via Egypt in the first phase.
"THE MISSION TO SUPPORT THE PALESTINIAN PEOPLE WILL CONTINUE"
In this context, necessary arrangements have been made for these Palestinians to establish a peaceful and secure life in Turkey.
Security sources stated that President Erdoğan's mission to support the Palestinian people within the framework of his vision for peace and humanitarian responsibility will be carried out with determination.
