YOUNG PEOPLE BROKE OFF THE ENGAGEMENT, A STREET FIGHT ENSUED
In the Büyükziyaret neighborhood of Suruç district in Şanlıurfa, a discussion that started due to the broken engagement between two families quickly escalated into a fight involving stones, sticks, and weapons.
Upon the notification of the surrounding people, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Eight people injured in the fight were taken to Suruç State Hospital after the initial intervention by the medical teams.
1 PERSON LOST HIS LIFE
Among the injured taken to the emergency room, Abdulkadir Solmaz could not be saved despite all the efforts of the doctors. While the treatment of the other injured continues, gendarmerie teams took extensive security measures both in the neighborhood and around the hospital after the incident. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
