In a fight that broke out near the Republican People's Party (CHP) stand in Kadıköy, an 18-year-old individual, reported to be a minor, was assaulted. Three suspects have been detained in connection with the incident.
In Kadıköy, 3 suspects were detained in relation to the assault of a person during a fight that broke out near the stand of the Republican People's Party (CHP).
The Istanbul Police Department launched an investigation yesterday regarding the claims of an "attack on the CHP stand" that appeared in some media outlets and social media platforms.
3 PEOPLE ATTACKED A CHILD UNDER 18
During the investigation, it was determined that police teams were dispatched to the scene after a large group fought near the CHP stand in Kadıköy.
It was understood that A.Ç.C, who is under 18 and was assaulted by 3 people, was taken to the hospital by health teams.
After reviewing security camera footage, the teams detained S.O, A.F.T, and E.T, who were identified as being involved in the assault.
STATEMENTS EMERGED
The suspects claimed that while they were walking around Kadıköy, they first warned A.Ç.C, who was walking loudly cursing, then went to the CHP stand to give a signature, and upon encountering the child again, a fight broke out after he continued to speak profanely.
