THE FACTORY WAS ENGULFED IN FLAMES
The fire broke out in the lumber factory located in Paşaköy, a neighborhood of the district, in the evening hours. An explosion occurred in the oil boiler at the lumber factory. The fire then spread rapidly due to flammable and explosive materials in the factory. Upon notification, gendarmerie, fire brigade, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
As the flames completely engulfed the factory, additional firefighting teams were sent from Keşan, Enez, and surrounding towns to the scene. While the fire was brought under control with the interventions, efforts are ongoing. It has been reported that cooling efforts have begun.
