A fire that broke out on the roof of the empty annex building under renovation at Koşuyolu High Specialization Training and Research Hospital in Kartal, Istanbul, caused panic. While patients in the adjacent building were evacuated as a precaution, the flames were extinguished by fire crews. After cooling efforts, the patients were taken back into the building, and the Istanbul Governor's Office reported that there was no loss of life or property in the incident.
A fire broke out in the additional outpatient clinic building of Koşuyolu High Specialization Training and Research Hospital located in the Kartal district of Istanbul.
Upon notification, fire brigade and police teams were dispatched to the scene. After the fire, while hectic moments were experienced at the hospital, it was learned that patients began to be evacuated.
No official statement has yet been made regarding the cause of the fire and whether anyone was injured in the incident.
