A fire that broke out at a pallet factory near Sabiha Gökçen Airport in Pendik, Istanbul, was extinguished after approximately one and a half hours of intervention by the fire department.
The fire started at a pallet factory in the Ramazanoğlu neighborhood of Pendik, Istanbul. The fire, which was located near Sabiha Gökçen Airport and grew rapidly, also spread to the roof of a house next to the factory.
EXTINGUISHED WITH A 1.5-HOUR INTERVENTION
Upon notification from the locals, police, fire department, and emergency medical teams arrived in the area. Health teams determined that no one was injured. The fire was extinguished after approximately one and a half hours of intervention by the fire department. While the factory affected by the fire became completely unusable, damage also occurred on the roof of the adjacent building. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
FLIGHTS WERE NOT AFFECTED
It was learned that flights at Sabiha Gökçen Airport were not affected by the fire.
