Within the scope of the 'bribery' investigation in which Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Chairman Advisor Demirhan Gözaçan, his driver Anıl Demir, and Şehzadeler A.Ş. General Manager Cem Yüzer were arrested, Yeni Party Manisa Provincial Chairman İlksen Özalper was also detained today. The investigation constitutes the first operation conducted against the Yeni Party since its establishment.
A new development has occurred in the investigation initiated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and later transferred to the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office within the scope of authority.
NEW PARTY MANISA PROVINCIAL CHAIRMAN DETAINED
Within the scope of the investigation, New Party Manisa Provincial Chairman Ilksen Ozalper was detained. It was learned that Ozalper would be taken to Ankara to give his statement after his procedures at the police station.
The investigation was the first operation carried out against the New Party since its establishment.
INVESTIGATION
Within the scope of the investigation into a criminal organization for profit and bribery conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an operation was carried out in Manisa on June 10, based on the statements given by Usak Mayor Ozkan Yalim, who was suspended from duty, benefiting from the provisions of effective remorse.
In line with the reports of the Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) and HTS records; Sehzadeler Inc. General Manager Cem Yuzer, an affiliate of Sehzadeler Municipality, and Anil Demir, the driver of Manisa Metropolitan Municipality Chief Advisor Demirhan Gozacan, were detained. During searches at the suspects' homes, digital materials and various documents were seized for examination.
3 ARRESTS
It was stated that Ozkan Yalim, who gave a statement benefiting from the provisions of effective remorse, declared that he delivered 1 million TL to Demirhan Gozacan in Denizli, and that Gozacan was jailed for the crimes of 'being a member of a criminal organization for profit' and 'bribery'. While Gozacan was also arrested within the scope of this file, Anil Demir and Cem Yuzer were also arrested by the court they were brought before.
