Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who returned to the CHP General Chairmanship by court decision, informed in a letter sent to deputies that the TBMM CHP Group General Assembly will not be held without his instruction. CHP Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir strongly reacted to the decision, saying, 'I do not want to believe that such a letter came from Kılıçdaroğlu. This signature does not resemble Kılıçdaroğlu's signature either.'

The letter sent by Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who returned to the CHP General Chairmanship by court decision, to members of parliament has sparked a new debate within the party. While Kılıçdaroğlu stated that the TBMM CHP Group General Assembly would not be held without his instruction, the first statement from the CHP came from Deputy Group Chair Murat Emir.

KILIÇDAROĞLU'S LETTER TO MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT

Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu sent a letter to members of parliament regarding when the TBMM CHP Group General Assembly would be held. In the letter, Kılıçdaroğlu noted that there were question marks among group members about the meeting date, stating that the meeting date had not yet been determined by him.

In his letter, Kılıçdaroğlu used the following expressions: “Once the meeting date, meeting agenda, and the location where the meeting will be held are determined by me, necessary notifications will be made to you. Unless necessary notifications on these matters are made as per my instruction, the TBMM CHP Group General Assembly will not be held.”

PM AND YDK MEETING POSTPONED

Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu was expected to convene the Party Assembly and High Disciplinary Board members on Monday, June 1. However, according to information obtained, the meeting has been postponed to a later date.

It was stated that the postponement decision was made because official notifications had not yet been delivered to the board members who returned to duty by court decision.

FIRST REACTION TO THE DECISION FROM CHP

CHP Deputy Group Chair Murat Emir made statements in front of the camera following the developments. Emir reacted to the postponement of the Party Assembly meeting.

"SO-CALLED NOTIFICATIONS COULDN'T BE MADE"

Emir said, “He gave up convening the Party Assembly. Why, sir? Notifications couldn't be made. You were brave enough to post the trusteeship decision on our wall by entering the headquarters with gas, batons, and police force, but couldn't manage to notify the Party Assembly members?”

"IT DOESN'T RESEMBLE KILIÇDAROĞLU'S SIGNATURE"

Murat Emir also reacted to the letter sent to members of parliament under Kılıçdaroğlu's signature. Emir stated that he did not want to believe the letter belonged to Kılıçdaroğlu and questioned the signature.

Emir used the following expressions: “I do not want to believe that such a letter came from Mr. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. Indeed, this signature does not resemble Mr. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu's signature. I ask from here: Is this signature yours? Is this letter yours?”

In the continuation of his statement, Murat Emir addressed Kılıçdaroğlu, saying, “If this letter is yours, you cannot write this letter, Mr. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu. The Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu we know would at least look at the law, regulations, and internal rules, and then make a decision accordingly.”

A SIGN WAS HUNG ON ÖZGÜR ÖZEL'S DOOR

Following the court's absolute nullity decision, Özgür Özel was elected as the CHP Group Chair during the party assembly meeting. A sign reading "CHP Group Chair" was also hung on his door in the Turkish Grand National Assembly.
