The CHP's support for the framework law passed in the Turkish Parliament has led to the first resignation within the party. Özlem Özşahin, who was appointed as the head of the Çorum Provincial Women's Branch only four days ago, announced her resignation, saying, 'I have no chance to pursue politics in a CHP that votes yes on the framework law. There can be no politics against the will of the people.'
The first casualty within the party has emerged due to the CHP, led by Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, supporting the 'framework law' passed by the Turkish Grand National Assembly. Özlem Özşahin, who was appointed as the head of the CHP's Çorum Provincial Women's Branch only 4 days ago, reacted to the decision and announced her resignation from her post.
Stating that she could not accept her party's "yes" vote for the regulation accepted in Parliament, Özlem Özşahin explained the main reason behind her decision to leave. Emphasizing that the unitary structure of the state is an indisputable "red line" for her, Özşahin stated that she has fallen out with her party's stance on this issue.

Sharing her resignation decision with the public, Özşahin stated that the ground for her to engage in politics under the CHP umbrella has disappeared for her, using the following striking words:
"I have no chance to engage in politics in a CHP that voted yes to the framework law. There is no politics against the nation. For this reason, I am resigning from the Çorum Provincial Women's Branch Presidency."
