In the Israeli attack on Gaza, dozens of civilians lost their lives, and Hamas made its first statement. Hamas stated that Israel unilaterally violated the ceasefire agreement and called for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council.
The Israeli army, which resumed its attacks on Gaza by violating the ceasefire, carried out airstrikes on Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip.
In the bloody attack, at least 232 people lost their lives, and Hamas issued a written statement regarding the matter. Hamas officials stated that Israel unilaterally violated the ceasefire agreement and called for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council.

In a written statement from Hamas, it was noted that the Israeli government declared war on the Gaza Strip by violating the ceasefire agreement that came into effect on January 19. The statement reminded that the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip are subjected to a barbaric war as well as systematic hunger policies, stating, "We hold Netanyahu and the Zionist Nazi occupiers responsible for the consequences of the treacherous attacks against Gaza and the defenseless Palestinian people."
THEY CALLED ON MEDIATORS
The statement said, "By deciding to strike the ceasefire agreement, Netanyahu and his radical government are endangering the lives of the prisoners in the Gaza Strip and plunging their fate into uncertainty. We ask the mediators to hold Netanyahu and the Zionist occupier accountable for the strike on the ceasefire."
CALL FOR AN EMERGENCY MEETING OF THE UN SECURITY COUNCIL
In the statement, it was demanded that Arab countries and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) fulfill their responsibilities by standing with the Palestinian people and breaking the blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip. An urgent call was also made for the UN Security Council (UNSC) to convene.
In its statement, Hamas called for the continuation of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the withdrawal of Israeli forces in accordance with UNSC Resolution 2735. Meanwhile, the Palestinian Ministry of Interior stated that they are closely monitoring the effects of the attacks targeting most areas of the Gaza Strip.
