The death toll from the flood disaster in the Jammu and Kashmir region of India has risen to 60. Search efforts are ongoing to find the missing individuals.

The toll is rising in the flood disaster caused by heavy rains in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah stated that the number of people who lost their lives in the flood in the village of Chashoti in the Kishtwar region has risen to 60, and more than 100 people have been injured. Search efforts for the missing individuals are continuing on the second day by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), police, army, and local volunteers.
