In the village of Çobankazanı, located in the Güçlükonak district of Şırnak, foot-and-mouth disease was detected during routine checks conducted by teams working in the field at a facility. Following the incident, the entry and exit of cattle and sheep into the village were prohibited until further notice. Additionally, disinfection efforts and health screenings were initiated in the region.

An emergency action plan was created by the teams, and in accordance with the decision of the district Health Inspection Commission, the entry and exit of cattle and sheep in the village where the disease was detected and surrounding villages were prohibited until further notice.

DISINFECTION WORKS AND HEALTH SCREENINGS INITIATED



Officials from the Şırnak Agriculture and Forestry Provincial Directorate reported that disinfection works and health screenings for animals have been initiated in the surveillance area to prevent the spread of foot-and-mouth disease. Additionally, information and training activities are being conducted for all farmers in the region.
