Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against the Ahbap Association, 14 people, including Haluk Levent who was detained, were arrested and sent to prison. While footage of Levent's transfer to prison emerged, it was learned that he said, 'I did not touch a single penny of the association' during his statement at the prosecutor's office. He described the accusations regarding the transfer of $60 million worth of real estate as a 'debt-receivable relationship.'
The judicial process of the operation coordinated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Bureau of Investigation of Financing of Terrorism and Money Laundering Crimes has been concluded. The 25 suspects, whose police statements have been completed, were sent to the courthouse.
14 ARRESTS, 11 JUDICIAL CONTROLS
Of the 25 suspects sent to the courthouse, 19 were referred by the prosecutor's office to the duty Criminal Court of Peace with a request for arrest, and 6 with a request for judicial control measures.
Of the suspects demanded to be arrested by the prosecutor's office, a total of 14 people, including Haluk Levent, Ece Güner, İlker Çetin, Nurdan Eriş, Yusuf Can Ertit, Kemal Ötünç, Şehmuz Baştuğ, Abdulcevat Özkan, Emrah Gödeliner, Erhan Dökmeci, Halil Bostancı, Mehmet Ulu, Yeliz Kaya, and Zafer Yay, were arrested.
Recep S., Müge Sözen K., Ali Barış K., Gonca A., and Sevda K., who were referred to the court with a request for arrest, were released by the judgeship under judicial control conditions. Together with the other 6 people for whom the prosecutor's office directly requested judicial control, the total number of those released became 11.
HALUK LEVENT'S "CONSPIRACY" STATEMENT AT THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE
According to Burak Doğan's report; the details of the statement given to the prosecutor's office by Ahbap Association President Haluk Levent, who was arrested and sent to prison, within the scope of two separate investigations, have been revealed.
Firmly denying the allegations that the association's assets and collected donations were used for personal gain, Levent defended himself with the words: “I did not touch a single kuruş of the association, a perception and conspiracy operation was carried out over 80 million TL.”
HANDCUFFED IMAGE EMERGES
While images of the famous artist being sent to prison were reflected in the press, Haluk Levent is seen handcuffed.
