Football: Milan Sign Stefano Pioli As New Manager

Serie A club Milan ink 2 year contract with Italian manager Stefano Pioli after dismissing Marco Giampaolo.

Italy's football club Milan on Wednesday signed a two-year contract with Italian manager Stefano Pioli to replace Marco Giampaolo.
"AC Milan announces the appointment with immediate effect of Mr Stefano Pioli as the new coach of the First Team. The Club wishes Stefano and his coaching staff all the best in their work," the club said in a statement on their website.
The 53-year-old manager started his coaching career in 1999, managing several clubs in Serie A including Chievo, Palermo, Bologna, Lazio, Inter and Fiorentina.
Milan recently sacked Italian manager Marco Giampaolo after the club's nightmare start to the 2019/2020 season.
They currently stand at the 13th place with nine points.
In addition, Milan are 10 points behind the leaders Juventus in Serie A at the end of the seventh week with three losses in the last four league games. -
