The victory of Donald Trump in the U.S. presidential elections, closely followed by the entire world, has created a significant impact. In response to the question, "Will there be changes in Turkey-U.S. relations during the Trump era?" Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan provided a noteworthy answer. Minister Fidan stated, "In the new era, our strategic dialogue with the U.S. will naturally continue. The issues on our agenda need to be addressed in a cooperative, constructive manner and in a holistic way. We are ready for this."

After the presidential elections held in the USA, the Republican Donald Trump, who emerged victorious from the polls, will take office in the White House with the inauguration ceremony to be held in the capital on January 20, 2025.

TRUMP ERA IS A SUBJECT OF CURIOSITY

After Trump's election victory, where he outperformed his rival Kamala Harris, how relations will continue or whether there will be any changes globally is a matter of curiosity.

QUESTION TO MINISTER FIDAN ABOUT THE "NEW ERA"

Speaking to Milliyet, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan also answered the question, "Will there be any changes in Turkey-US relations during the Trump era?"

"OUR PRESIDENT AND TRUMP KNOW EACH OTHER"

Minister Fidan stated, "Turkish-American relations have a deep-rooted history. There is already a high-level dialogue based on alliance relations between the two countries, regardless of who is in power. The strategic mechanism established to address issues between Turkey and the USA will certainly continue its work in the new era. Our President and US President Trump already know each other."

"I BELIEVE THE NEW ADMINISTRATION IS READY"

Sincerity was clearly reflected in the phone conversation between the two leaders immediately after the election. Naturally, our strategic dialogue with the USA will continue in the new era. The issues on our agenda need to be addressed with an open, constructive understanding and in a holistic manner. We are ready for this. I believe the new administration is also ready for this."
