A fire broke out in the rural area of Yenidemir neighborhood in the Onikişubat district of Kahramanmaraş for reasons yet to be determined. Forest Regional Directorate teams, directed to the region upon notification, are intervening in the fire with 5 helicopters, 2 planes, 1 UAV, 16 fire trucks, 5 water tanks, 3 first intervention vehicles, 12 construction vehicles, 6 fire trucks, and 30 volunteer personnel. The teams continue their efforts to bring the fire under control. Gendarmerie teams do not allow people to enter the area.

Yusuf Karartı, the Regional Director of Forests in Kahramanmaraş, stated to AA reporter that the fire extinguishing efforts are ongoing.
