Former Beşiktaş player Muhayer Oktay has fallen to amateur level.

During the mid-season of the 2018-2019 season, Muhayer Oktay, who transferred from Fortuna Düsseldorf to Beşiktaş and signed a 4.5-year contract, could not remain permanent at the black-and-whites. Muhayer's new address surprised everyone.

Muhayer Oktay transferred to SV Hohenlimburg, a team in the 6th League of Germany, in August 2024. The 25-year-old midfielder, who could only play 292 minutes in 7 matches at SV Hohenlimburg and did not contribute with any goals or assists, made a surprising choice by terminating his contract with the club. Ararat Gevelsberg, one of the amateur teams in Germany, announced that they have signed Muhayer Oktay, who once wore the Beşiktaş jersey.

After signing with Beşiktaş, the 25-year-old German-Turkish footballer played only 3 matches, including 1 in the Super League and 2 in the Turkish Cup, without contributing to the score in any of these matches. Oktay, who was loaned to Giresunspor during the mid-season of the next season, could not make the expected breakthrough there either and returned to Beşiktaş after the end of the season. During that time, Oktay also played for the U21 National Team and left Beşiktaş after his contract, which ended in 2023.
