Former CHP Avcılar Municipality Deputy Mayor Burçin Baykal committed suicide by jumping from the July 15 Martyrs Bridge. It was learned that Baykal's brother also committed suicide last year, leaving a note.

Sad news came from Burçin Baykal, the former Deputy Mayor of Eski Avcılar. Baykal took his own life.

COMMITTED SUICIDE LIKE HIS BROTHER

Burçin Baykal jumped from the 15 July Martyrs Bridge to commit suicide. A heartbreaking detail emerged regarding Baykal's brother. It was learned that Baykal's brother also took his own life last year, leaving a suicide note.

HE WAS ARRESTED IN 2021

Baykal was arrested in 2021 as part of an investigation conducted by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office of Küçükçekmece into the Erkan Karaarslan criminal organization. After being detained for a while, Baykal was released in 2023.
