The court decided to suspend the announcement of the verdict.

WHAT HAPPENED?

On July 9, in Kavacık Rüzgarlıbahçe, a district of Beykoz in Istanbul, Fatma Zehra Kınık Demir, who was trying to exit Baki Street onto Fatih Sultan Mehmet Avenue, collided with the motorcycle driven by Yavuz Selim Öztürk. In the incident, 17-year-old Batın Barlasçeki, who was sitting on the back of the motorcycle, fell and hit his head on concrete barriers, resulting in his death. Yavuz Selim Öztürk, who was driving the motorcycle, and Muammer Kızıl and İbrahim Ethem Üstünışık, who were struck by the motorcycle as it continued to slide on the sidewalk, were injured. Fatma Zehra Kınık Demir, who was taken into custody regarding the incident, was released the next day by the court to be tried without detention. The expert report prepared indicated that she caused the accident by not waiting for other vehicles to pass while exiting onto the main road and was found to be 100% at fault. The judicial control decision against Kınık was also lifted in the first hearing.
