He conveyed that more than 130 civil society organizations listened to the National Solidarity Brotherhood and Democracy Commission established within the TBMM since August 5, and they expressed a common sentence:
"Now we want to bury not our children in this country, but weapons. We want to eliminate weapons."
Kurtulmuş stated that this work, presented with extraordinarily high democratic maturity, has reached its conclusion and that this time peace will definitely prevail.
"ISRAEL'S AGGRESSION IS UNACCEPTABLE"
Devoting part of his speech to global developments, Kurtulmuş condemned in strong terms the aggressive Israeli administration's ruthless bombing of areas in southern Lebanon where innocent people reside as of last night.
Stating that this aggression by Israel is absolutely unacceptable, the TBMM President said that the Zionist regime has reached a point of no return and wants to turn the Middle East into an even greater sea of blood. Kurtulmuş expressed that they stand by the people of Lebanon on this occasion, emphasizing that the peoples of the region must awaken and take ownership of their common future.
"MOTHER TONGUE IS AS HALAL AS MOTHER'S MILK"
Reiterating the goal of building Turkey as a truly free and just country, Kurtulmuş stated that cultural differences in these lands should be seen as a means of unification and integration, not division.
Emphasizing that language is the area where a person expresses themselves best, he said, "The mother tongue is as halal as mother's milk." He noted that no one should be questioned for wanting to use their language as they wish, stating that discrimination based on languages has never been part of their vocabulary. He also added that there is no racism or fascism in the vocabulary of the children of Alparslan and Saladin the Kurd.
"EITHER WE WILL SUCCEED OR THE IMPERIALISTS"
Kurtulmuş expressed that the essence of this geography throughout history has been unity, togetherness, and brotherhood, recalling that the governance understanding established by Saladin the Kurd based on trust, peace, and justice is still remembered.
At the end of his remarks, he claimed that the Zionist regime sees all the peoples of the Middle East as goyim (non-Jews) and subhuman. Stating that "The visible face of today's imperialism is Zionism," Kurtulmuş emphasized that Turkey's goal is to integrate and grow more against the imperialists' "Divide and rule" thesis, concluding his words with, "This time I say 'either we will succeed or the imperialists.' We will definitely succeed."
