A fire that broke out at the Grand Kartal Hotel in Bolu Kartalkaya at 03:30 caused a disaster. In the fire, 66 people lost their lives, while 51 others were injured.

MINISTER TUNÇ: 4 PEOPLE DETAINED

Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç announced that 4 people, including the owner of the establishment, have been detained as part of the investigation initiated regarding the hotel fire, which has been assigned to 6 public prosecutors. Minister Tunç stated in a post on his social media account that the judicial investigation launched by the Bolu Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is being conducted in a comprehensive and meticulous manner, saying, "As part of the investigation assigned to our 6 public prosecutors, 4 people, including the owner of the establishment, have been detained. The examinations of a 5-member expert committee, specialized in the cause of the fire, are ongoing, and efforts to determine fault are continuing. Every stage of the investigation is being carried out with great care and sensitivity," he expressed.
