The discussions on the bill, which includes raising the retirement bonus from 3,000 lira to 4,000 lira, were not held in the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly as the quorum was not reached. At that moment, CHP member Ali Mahir Başarır drew attention by calling out to AK Party Group Deputy Chair Özlem Zengin, saying, "Ms. Özlem, where are you? Please vote. Why are you closing the Assembly?"

This week, discussions on the proposal to increase the retirement holiday bonus from 3,000 lira to 4,000 lira, which is included in the Law on Youth and Sports Services and the proposal for amendments to certain laws and decrees, could not be started in the General Assembly of the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM).

QUORUM NOT ACHIEVED

Due to the lack of votes from the AK Party and MHP during the roll calls, the quorum was not achieved three times. Following this, the General Assembly was adjourned to reconvene on Tuesday, March 25, at 15:00.

CHP Group Deputy Chairman Ali Mahir Başarır reacted when AK Party Group Deputy Chairman Özlem Zengin left the General Assembly hall, saying, "Where are you, Ms. Özlem? Why don't you vote? Why are you closing the Parliament?"
