Vox Humanis Polyphonic Choir, which successfully represented Türkiye and Şanlıurfa at the World Choir Games 2026 held in Sweden, achieved first place in the world by receiving the highest score in its category.
Vox Humanis, consisting of volunteers supported by Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality and Harran University students, achieved a significant success in an organization attended by choirs from all over the world.
The world championship title earned at the World Choir Games 2026, where more than 160 choirs and over 8,500 choristers from over 40 countries participated, once again demonstrated Şanlıurfa's potential in culture and arts on the international platform.
At the organization attended by Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mehmet Kasım Gülpınar, the city's musical culture and works in polyphonic music were brought to the world stage. During the award ceremony held after the evaluations, the first-place award was received jointly by Şanlıurfa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mehmet Kasım Gülpınar and Choir Conductor Fırat Altun.
