Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek will run as the sole candidate in the Ordinary Elective General Assembly to be held on May 16-23, 2026. Accordingly, Dursun Özbek's new management list has been announced. Dursun Özbek did not include the current board member İbrahim Hatipoğlu in the new list.
Galatasaray Club's current president Dursun Özbek will enter the ordinary elective general assembly, to be held on May 16 or 23, as the sole candidate.
DURSUN ÖZBEK IS THE SOLE CANDIDATE IN GALATASARAY
Council Board Chairman Aykutalp Derkan stated in the statement on the yellow-red club's website that Özbek submitted the necessary documents within the deadline to be a candidate in the election.
İBRAHİM HATİPOĞLU WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE LIST
Dursun Özbek did not include vice president Niyazi Yelkencioğlu, managers İbrahim Hatipoğlu, Timur Kuban, Ece Bora from the current board of directors in the new list. Özbek added Sportif AŞ Vice Chairman Abdullah Kavukcu, Sportif AŞ manager Ömer Sarıgül, Mecit Mert Çetinkaya, Mehmet Burak Kutluğ, and Özen Kuzu to the new management list.
