If a match ends 0-0, the teams should receive zero points."

During a recent appearance on the podcast of his friend Iker Casillas from the Spanish National Team, Pique presented a highly debatable suggestion aimed at increasing the watchability of football, which has been a hot topic lately, and he made the following interesting statements;
"You go to a football stadium and spend 100, 200, or 300 euros, and the match ends 0-0; this cannot happen. Something needs to change. One suggestion that could be considered is this: If a match ends 0-0, the teams should receive zero points. If that happens, matches will start to open up from the 70th minute onwards."
FOOTBALL CAREER
Throughout his career, Gerard Pique wore the jerseys of Manchester United, Real Zaragoza, Barcelona, and the Spanish National Team, playing a total of 667 official matches, during which he scored 58 goals and provided 14 assists. The former footballer Pique retired in 2023.
